Episode #7 is up. We grew almost 100 new listerners this week which are very excited about. Also, we haven't have any submissions yet on the T-shirt challenge from last week so we are still very open to some great designs for you to be able to take a part in the 11th Company. We hope you enjoy the new episode and keep leaving us feedback!

2/28/2010: Neil Gilstrap

Episode #6 is now on-line. We broke 300 downloads this week in the first week for the release of Episode 5. We actually hit 326! We are continuing to grow and still having a blast. Thanks to everyone who has been listening!

We started some challenges this week which we hope everyone will participate in. The first challenge is a T-Shirt contest. We want to make some 11th Company T-Shirts, but we don't know what to put on them. For the next few weeks we will be running a contest for the listeners. Anyone can send us a design for our t-shirt (front and back, likely on a white t-shirt), and we will select a winner based on our opinions and listener feedback. The winner gets the very first, new, T-Shirt, which we will pay for, and we will sign it as well so it's unique. The second challenge is that anyone who wants to come down to Myrtle Beach South Carolina and play against the 11th company and wins a game, will get a free t-shirt as well for coming down (once we decide what they look like!)

Episode #5 is up! Thanks to everyone who has been listening and for those who have been posting their thoughts and opinions on the forums. We are loving all of the feedback and the opportunity to discuss 40k with people from across the world.

Happy Valentine's Day! Episode 4 is up, and it's a little less than two hours long. Our little community is growing steadily, and I would like to thank everyone again for listening and participating in our little podcast. Episode 3 had about 215 downloads so far, and we are growing each week! Feel free to log onto the forums and drop us some feedback or whatever!

2/7/2010: Neil Gilstrap

We have had 250 downloads of Episode Two thus far! We are very excited about the amount of listeners we have picked up. The forums are growing as well!

Episode 3 is now up and running. For the first time, we are extending an invite for people to post commentary, ideas, or thoughts on an upcoming segment where we will be rediscussing Flanking Maneuvers. What we hope is to be able to involve the community in the production of the pod cast with fresh ideas, thoughts, and strategies. Post on the forums if you have some great ideas, and we'll be compiling those for an upcoming episode.

We have reached 100 downloads this week of episode one. Episode 2 is now up, and we are looking forward to getting some more listeners.

We had an interview with Dice Like Thunder this week, and I would like to express our utmost gratitude to those guys, and their great podcast. They decided to give us a hand in trying to get up off the ground and get some listeners. We are honored to have been able to be a part of their show.

Work began today in trying to get the word out about our new podcast to try and drum up some listeners. I've been monitoring the stats on our site today, and we have officially had 18 full downloads of our first episode since it was published yesterday evening. I am tracking usage via bandwidth analysis provided by our hosting company. By the way, if you are looking for some very cost effective web hosting, hosting.com is pretty awesome. In any case, I also spent a large portion of the day creating new accounts for the 11th company at the bigger forums sites like Bell of Lost Souls, Bolter and Chainsword, and Warseer to try and post on their websites about our need podcast. I am also awaiting some replies from Podcast alley about trying to claim our podcast there so we can get it updated and running smootly. So far so good! I'm looking forward to some feedback from listners as we move forward.

Also, about 32 minutes of episode 2 are already recorded! It will be ready right on schedule for this Sunday.

Episode #1 has been published! Titled: The 11th Company Has Landed, this is our first episode in what we hope will be a long running pod cast experience. The podcast has been registered on ITunes, PodcastAlley, Podcast.com, and the Podcast directory. Most of the searches should pick it up by sometime tomorrow. Happy listening eveyone!

The 11th Company Web Site has been published, and the forums have been set up. The forums are hosted currently by a site called freeforums.org. Right now, they are free to us, but you will have to deal with some advertisements on the forums unless we pay a small monthly fee to remove them. If the show takes off, we will probably end up paying the fee.

We currently have 360 GB of transfer a month in bandwidth with our hosting plan. That should provide ample space for quite a while until the show really picks up some listeners. At that time, we may have to extend our hosting plan (which will cost some pretty serious cash). Right now, it costs about $36/month to host the web site with this plan. We are currently eating that cost, so please, when the donation box gets up and going, throw us a few bucks if you like the show.
